Day 1: Darwin – Katherine After a morning departure from Darwin, settle into your surroundings with fellow travellers as you enjoy a regionally-inspired lunch. Upon arrival in Katherine this afternoon, choose between a cultural cruise through Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge or enjoy a day of discovery on a working cattle station. (LD)
Day 2: Alice Springs Awake to morning views of the spectacular Red Centre. A full day of experiences await you here, with an optional upgrade available to a scenic flight to Uluru (Ayers Rock) including a guided base tour. You’ll return in time to dine with your fellow guests under the stars at a signature barbeque dinner at the historic Alice Springs Telegraph Station. (BLD)
Day 3: Coober Pedy Today the train stops at the remote siding of Manguri, allowing plenty of time for sightseeing around the nearby opal mining township of Coober Pedy. With half of the residents living underground, you’ll be guided through the town’s highlights including a unique gourmet lunch under the Earth’s surface. Return to the train in time for dinner and a nightcap. (BLD)
Day 4: Arrive Adelaide Witness the landscape change from your cabin window this morning as the desert gives way to the green rolling hills of South Australia. Enjoy a relaxing brunch as you pass through Flinders Ranges ahead of your arrival into Adelaide where your expedition comes to an end. (B)
