Day 1: Sydney – Jervis Bay (198km/ 123 miles/ 3 hours) Leaving Sydney you will drive south along the Grand Pacific Drive enjoying spectacular coastal scenery. Travel through rainforests and quaint villages to reach Wollongong. Stop at Hyams Beach for some of the whitest sand in the world before arriving into beautiful Jervis Bay. Day 2: Jervis Bay – Batemans Bay (141km/ 88 miles/ 2 hours) Today continue your drive south to Batemans Bay enjoying National Park views to the West, and stunning coast line views to the East. Day 3: Batemans Bay – Merimbula (175km/ 108 miles/ 2 hours) Cross over the state border into Victoria and drive along the amazing Sapphire Coast to the town of Merimbula where lagoon, lakes and ocean are separated by white sand, and fringed by unspoiled bushland. Day 4: Merimbula – Lakes Entrance (267km/ 165 miles/ 3.5 hours) Travel along the Princes Highway to Cape Conran Coastal Park en route to Lakes Entrance. With rivers, lakes and lagoons joining 90 Mile Beach, you may choose to take a cruise along Australia’s largest inland waterway or explore the nearby village of Metung. Day 5: Lakes Entrance – Wilsons Promontory (274km/ 171 miles/ 3.5 hours) Arriving into the Gippsland region, be awed by Victoria’s largest coastal wilderness area in Wilsons Promontory National Park. Day 6: Wilsons Promontory – Phillip Island (124km/ 77 miles/ 2 hours) Journey west to Phillip Island and the seaside town of Cowes with the chance to experience the sight of little penguins crossing the beach at sunset at the iconic Penguin Parade (optional). Day 7: Phillip Island – Melbourne Travel on the final leg of this amazing coastal experience to the cafe capital of Australia, Melbourne. Your car is booked until tomorrow and should be dropped off at the city or airport, by the same time as it was picked up on Day 1, to avoid any additional charges.
